» Importing Images from URL – WooCommerce & Media Library

Hello,

I am using the Import WP Pro plugin with WooCommerce integration, and I would like to import product images directly onto my WordPress – Rehub – WooCommerce site from external URLs.

Here is an example of an image URL I would like to import:

Issues Encountered:

1.Importing into the Media Library

I tried mapping the image URL to the _wp_attached_file field in Attachments, but it did not work.
Could you confirm if it is possible to import images directly from a URL into the WordPress media library using Import WP Pro?
If so, which field should be used to ensure WordPress downloads the image and properly adds it to the media library?

2.Importing a WooCommerce Product Image

My goal is to not only import the image into the media library but also automatically assign it as the featured image for a WooCommerce product.
What is the correct way to map the image URL to the WooCommerce product image using Import WP Pro?
Should I use a different field instead of _wp_attached_file for WooCommerce?

Hi Thierry,

If you are importing images into wooocommerce: https://www.importwp.com/docs/import-woocommerce-products-from-csv-xml/#import-woo-commerce-products-with-images

To import images into other post types other than woocommerce products you can use the attachments section of the importer: https://www.importwp.com/docs/how-to-import-wordpress-attachments-onto-a-post-type/

Both the attachments and Product gallery section will download the media from urls into the media library and allow you to set a featured image.

Im using Rehub - Woocommerce.

I want to import editor's reviews.

I can import the title, the general score, the review, the pros and the cons, but didnt find the options to import the criterias and their scores.

You may need to contact rehub for support on this, as they created the rehub integration.

The image is uploaded on Product image and on gallery.

I want only having it on product image.

how can I do ?

To do that, you would need to remove the imported products and instead you need to use the attachments (instead of the product gallery) section, and set the image as featured.
