Importing users from CSV

Hi,

I’m trying to import a csv-list of paying subsribers for a magazine. The csv has four columns/values – email, subscriber number (unique) first name and last name. The subscriber number is to be used as password and the email adress as login. I map these like on the attached screen shot and import goes really smooth – rows missing email adress are deleted which is perfectly fine. However, when I try to log in using any of the imported users with corresponding sub. number as pass it doesn’t work. If I export all users to a new .csv I can see that the system has all sorts of data and – most important – that the passwords are *extremely* complex (second screenshot). No signs of the actual sub. number anywhere. Any ideas what’s happening here? Or more important: what can I do about it? I am planning on buying the plugin to be able to use scheduling but I need it to work first…

Hi Orjan,

Can you please export and attach your importer settings to this ticket by going to Tools > Import WP > Settings / Tools > Import / Export and select and export your importer as a JSON file.

Can you also send an example csv with a sample row in it that i can use for testing.

Thanks
James
