There are certain fields I am having issues updating

I am having issues updating drop down menu fields with a fixed valued. It does not update (These are custom fields). Eg Job type with the value “external”. Not the value from the XML

Also date fields are not updating

Hi Afe,

Can you please export and attach your importer settings to this ticket by going to Tools > Import WP > Settings / Tools > Import / Export and select and export your importer as a JSON file.

Can you also attach an example row of your xml file so i can see what data is being imported.

I have tested this locally and can see that the custom fields have been imported as expected (Screenshot showing the custom field values from the database).

This suggests that the value you have set for the _job_apply_type  of "External URL" is not correct for the post type.

Have you followed the guide https://www.importwp.com/docs/how-to-import-wordpress-custom-fields/#find-existing-custom-fields of how to find existing custom field values? by creating a demo job listing with selected values, then using this demo job listing in the custom field finder tool?
