Advanced custom field doesn\\\’t update

I have had added a bunch of custom fields to one my custom posts. 

Import WP doesn\\\’t list them in the list of custom fields, while it lists the older ones. I think it\\\’s a bug and it\\\’s blocking me in my use of Import WP (and the reason I purchased it).

Another unrelated topic: I\\\’d love to be able to give you feedback to improve the UX of the plugin. It\\\’s really a pain to use (for instance, we can\\\’t search in custom fields which makes it super hard to use, especially when iterating on import to make sure it works well). How can I send you some feedback about the plugin?

Can you confirm a few things in relation to your issue:

1. That you have the acf addon installed and activated: https://www.importwp.com/integrations/advanced-custom-fields/

2. If you have acf fields that are not appearing can you add the custom code from here to show all acf fields, not just the related ones: https://www.importwp.com/docs/advanced-custom-fields-faq/#unable-to-find-acf-field-in-custom-field-list

If you are still not able to find the acf field, can you please export and attach your acf field groups via the ACF/Custom Fields tools section, and also attach your importer settings to this ticket by going to Tools > Import WP > Settings / Tools > Import / Export and select and export your importer as a JSON file.

Thanks, it's better indeed! Another thing is I have trouble importing categories, especially since the dropdown won't load… Can you help? 

Related question: what should I put as a category? The ID? it's not super clear :)

Hi Christelle,

If you hover over the "?" icon of the terms field it should say something about entering the term name or list of term names.

But now that you mention it, it could do with a field to allowing you to set what is being entered such as ID, name, or slug. Are you wanting to import a list of term ID's?

I have been trying to replicate the not loading of taxonomies list, if you check the "enable text field" checkbox directly under the taxonomy field, you can manually enter the name of the taxonomy. e.g. category, post_tag
