Hi Angus,

Can you give me a breif overview of of what you are trying to do and what you cant do with the hivepress?

Can you please export and attach your importer settings to this ticket by going to Tools > Import WP > Settings / Tools > Import / Export and select and export your importer as a JSON file.

Can you also attach an example csv / xml file and any relevent hivepress files that will help me replicate your issue, if at that point i am unable to replicate your issue i am more than happy to set up a screen share.

also i assume its possible to set the shedule to every 5 minutes by adding lots of sheduled hours and doing them in incraments of 5 minutes 24/7? ideally every minute would be better but is every 5 minutes possible?

Based on your attached csv file, what are you trying to get the importer to do, should it import a new "hp_listing" post for every row?

Can you explain what the "images", "User", and "Title" columns are and what should happen to the data?

Hi James, that's correct each row is a listing, I've just started off with one or two basic attributes to see how it works first, that is title, an image, and the user ID so it knows who to assign as the publisher, I've just made these fields to test the system, I'm looking for a result where there is a listing with the title associated with the CSV as well as the gallery image and the user ID to associate the listing with the publisher, the titles of these Rose are readable with hive press as I can already manually import listings this way but just not yet with your Scheduled automated plug-in yet. Thanks

I am guessing that the title is the unique identifier of the csv file? this will be used to find existing records to update, otherwise it will insert new records?

To set the importer to run every 5 minutes, you need to add an hourly schedule and set it to every 0 minute, then set repeat and set the next to 5, repeating this choosing every value of the minute dropdown.

Then you need to make sure you wordpress website is setup with the server cron job, running every minute.

hi yes title can be used for that, how can i get it to work? Also can we do a screen share? i can explain it easier and ill get my head around it way faster, a few minutes is all i need, and thanks for clarifying the shedule thats what i thought id need to do, also can you add an option to make it every minute instead?

Based on the previous 3 columns, all you need to do is

1. on the template step, all you need to di is populate 3 fields,  set the title field (set this as the title column), attachments to download from a remote url (set this as the images column), and enable the author field (set this as the user column).
2. on permissions step, select unique identfier to select from a template field, and choose "post_title"

Adding an cron interval is not advised as it will clog up the wordpress cron system.

Hi Angus,

Sorry we do not work the weekend which is why i am only picking this up just now, if the wordpress cron is not being ran, can you confirm how your wordpress cron is setup, is it via the servers task scheduler? or similar? How often is your wordpress cron triggered by your server?

For reference, you should have the server cron to run every minute (* * * * *): https://developer.wordpress.org/plugins/cron/hooking-wp-cron-into-the-system-task-scheduler/

How often is your task scheduler setup to run the wordpress cron?

sorry i do not offer screen share support.

There is no way to set the importer to only run against new data in the csv file, you could setup the permission so it only inserts data, this way it will not update or delete any previously imported records.

When you have the cron setup and the importer scheduled, does anything happen? have you tried installing something like: https://en-gb.wordpress.org/plugins/wp-crontrol/ to see what events are registered, if there is a backlog, as it might highlight some extra information.

If this is holding up your project, i am more than happy for you to request a refund to see if you have more luck with other importers.

Ideally you will need to have the cron scheduled more frequently than every 5 minutes, more like every minute as the importer is the only thing wordpress needs to run as it has alot of cron tasks.

Hi Angus,

The exporter does not have an option to export to google drive, went it schedules and export it stores and overwrites the same file (for example if the id of the exporter is 13, the path would be: http://localhost:8888/wp-content/uploads/exportwp/13.csv)
