Error displaying record: Inconsistent num of fields, header: 19, this line: 2

During import, in the “File Settings” tab, the error “Error displaying record: Inconsistent num of fields, header: 19, this line: 2” appears. What should I do? Help.

Hi Konstantin,

This error appears when the csv file does not have the same number of columns on each row.

I woudl recommend re attaching the file to the importer to see if the error goes away?

If it does not, could you please attach the csv file you are having issues with so i can have a futher look.

Thank you! The point is that this is not a file, but a Remote Url

It suggests the file downloaded from the remote url is not formatted correctly.

The best way to see what is going on is to enable debug mode (Go to settings / Tools > "Enable debug mode") , and click on importer "1. Select file" tab, view the existing files option and you should see the full path to the downloaded file, then access your server via ftp/ssh and view the file to confirm the contents of the file are a valid csv / xml file.
