Hi James,

I discovered that not  all the original posts are imported, because of  the same title. WP Import sees posts with the same title as the same posts. Which is in my case not the thing. Let me show you more, see below.

The first screen is the copied/exported/imported posts. Check the number, which is 263.

And the original ones contains 295 posts, see below. But the copied ones just 263 posts. The difference has to do with the posts that have the same name. A lot of people

At this printscreen you can see that the review that is from the original ‘Fantastisch – 5 sterren – Tessa’ not is copied to the right printscreen. Because many people have given a title like ‘Fantastisch’. But if they look to date by example, the problem won’t be there. People don’t give a review in exactly the same minute.

I am curious how we can solve this.

Thanks again!

Hi Monique,

Are you able to use a different field such as ID or post_name as the identifier, as these are more unique than the post_title which can have duplicates?

Using the ID would be the best and would make sure the correct record is updated.

I export the ID but WP import checks the duplicate posts (by title name, and that should be by ID). So how can I change that into ID? Op vr 10 feb. 2023 om 11:30 schreef Import WP Helpdesk < support@helpdesk.importwp.com>: >

To use the ID when importing:

1. Enable the id field at the bottom of the Post Fields Section, click on enable fields and select ID.

2. Set the ID field with the id column or node from your xml/csv file.

3. Update the "Unique identifier" field on the "Permissions" step to be ID.

Thanks for the screenshots, can you replace the "{0}" in the unique identifier field on the permissions step with: ID
