Hello. I am not sure how to import data into a relationship field.

I have Pods Custom post type Artists and CPT Artist’s Works. There is a relationship field that connects them, which is an array. A field created_by_artist is connected to an Artist post, by the title (artist’s name). There is also a number associated with it, which I (not a coder) don’t really understand (ex. for Bakst Leon it is 121).

I am importing Artist’s works, say for Bakst Leon. If I make the post manually, in the field created_by_artist, I choose the artist from a dropdown list.

I managed to get ALL the fields, including the featured image – except the relationship field.

How do I connect them? Please be very specific and detailed.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

Are you able to export and attack your pods custom post type and fields relating to the connection?

This should allow me to replicate it locally, and provide a possible solution.

I don't understand the question.

In the Artist's works, there is a relational field. It shows as a dropdown, and it connects the Artist's work whose post is being uploaded to the Artist's post. But this field is not a simple text or number etc, it connects to a post, and presents as the Artist's name and thumbnail.

When I uploaded via the CSV, I managed to make it fill almost all the fields. It did not fill the relationship field. at all, as it probably needs some other input than the name. I had the Artist's name in a column in the file.

It also did not fill one of the 2 taxonomies. I think that is because I had the one as a column, and for the other, I gave a value since they were the same.

I hope this answers your question and allows to replicate. If not, you have my credentials still, would you look at it, perhaps?

In pods, under the Pods Admin > Import / Export Packages, can you export and attach the export file so that i can replicate the fields in question.
