I am trying to import a CSV file with my product feed but when I do it uploads the product image to my media gallery. I need it to display the image from the URL that is given instead of uploading a new image every time. I had thousands of images that was being uploaded that I did not need or want uploaded. I already have product images upload on my site and would like to use them instead of uploading a new on everytime. How can I do this?

Hi Shaun,

By default attachments are downloaded once, and then future downloads of that attachment will use the previously downloaded version instead of downloading a new one, based on hash of image source generated during import.

To not download images and use images from the media library you would need to change the product gallery download setting to "media library", and make sure the location field references the image filename from the media library.

e.g. location: 521286504_58bdf61d15_b-300x158-1.jpg , would attach the existing image from the media library: /wp-content/uploads/2023/04/521286504_58bdf61d15_b-300x158-1.jpg
