Untrash Items

I have a regularly updated CSV where rows appear, disappear and re-appear and want to do the following tasks:

Appear = Add post

Disappear = trash post

Re-Appear = un-trash post

First actions work like a charm, but despite setting the post status explicitly to “Published” in stage 3 “3. Template Fields” previously trashed items are not un-trashed (restored).

Is there a setting I am missing or a trick?

Thanks for a hint on how to perform this.

Hi,

I have uploaded a video showing how to set this up (enabling delete permission and also enabling the trash option instead of permenantly deleting): https://www.loom.com/share/42c735827b644c43b99b311c287a7bd4?sid=409f3286-cafc-40aa-aeb3-9c5ba9d1696f

Example files A and B have been attached for reference.

Hi,

thanks for the video. That is exactly what i was expecting it to do.

Nevertheless it seems to work with standard posts, but not with my CPT :-(

Is there another config I have to attach to my CPT to mimic this behaviour?

I know, it is not your responsibility to help me out, your plugin works as intended. But maybe you have some knowledge about it because of your experience.

Thank you.

If you can attach how your custom post type is created i can test with that to see if i need to do anything extra to make it work.

I found out!

I had had checked "Update records only when data has changed."

When unchecking this setting, it works in my setup with CPT.

So never mind my latest reply before.

Thanks for your fast feedback.

All the best for you, James
