Can you confirm what versions of Import WP, Import WP Pro you have installed, (both latest versions are 2.6.0)

The process is not finishing, 

Import pro versión is 2.6.0, and I have not Import WP pro installed.

I am catching up on the backlog over the past couple days, due to sickness and will get back to your issue in turn.

I can see from your response that you were not able to get an error log from your server? this might show why it is unable to get past that initializing step.

If you cant provide and error log are you able to supply temporary WordPress admin access details so that i can have a look?

I have attached an updated version of the core importer plugin, this has a few extra debug logs which may help debug your situation.

Before installing this (and any plugin) make sure your website files and database are backed up to a safe location to avoid any data loss.

Once installed:

1. Enable debug log via Tools > Import WP > Settings / Tools > Enable Debug Mode.

2. Then open up the importer,  and start by re-adding the file you wish to import under the (1. Select file) tab, either by upload, or downloading  a new file via the remote or local file options.

3. Once a new file has been added, confirm the file exists and looks correct in the second step of the importer (2. file settings)

4. Once confirmed, goto the (5. Run Import) tab and run the import.

If the importer is still stuck, refresh the page, at the bottom right of the importer form there should now be a "<> Show Debug" text link, click this to open up the debug panel. under the Import Logs heading there should be a scrollable view of logs.

Right click on the download link and save and attach the log file to this ticket.

Thanks, this has pointed me in a better direction to see what is causing the issue, but i need a little bit more information about your WordPress setup.

Are you also able to send over your server stats Tools >Site Health > Info > Copy site info to clipboard (and paste into a file and attach here).

If you are in a rush to get the import working, then you could revert back "import wp" to the lastest v.2.5.* branch, you can download older versions via the advanced tab at the bottom of the wordpress.org page: https://wordpress.org/plugins/jc-importer/advanced/

However if you update back to 2.6.* you will still run into the same issue of your importer not being able to update a specific record from the options table.

I have been able to replicate the lock issue on aws lightsail WordPress MU , i will update you when i have a solution.

I have installed the following attached plugin version of AWS lightsail WordPress MU, and the import seems to be able to get state and progress with the import.

Hopefully this will resolve your import issue and we can get back to the original issue of testing the new WooCommerce attribute field “used for variations?”

The import is working, and "used for variations" is unchecked, 

I send you an error it shows, must of the times the import process is stopped, it says is because of a fatal error, and when it get at the end shows errors about the id of the parent product, but until now my issue it seems to be working.
