Issue with Import WP Plugin and ACF Custom Fields

Import WP Addon - Advanced Custom Fields Updated 1 year ago 10 Replies

I meet an issue when import CSV to ACF.

Initially, everything was working perfectly. However, after several trials and deletions of previously imported post types, the custom fields from ACF (Advanced Custom Fields) mysteriously stopped displaying in Step 3, “Template Fields.” It is appeared “Raw Field: _edit_lock”, and can not show the fileds of ACF.

The reason for this is unclear, and I am unable to find any related solutions in the documentation.

Attached file is the screen shot, you’ll find a screenshot which provides a clearer view of the problem I’m facing. I hope this will help in diagnosing the issue.

Thank you for your attention to this matter and I look forward to your response.

Best regards,

J

Hi,

Have you tried adding the following snippet to your theme to show all acf fields, not just those relating to the import type: https://www.importwp.com/docs/advanced-custom-fields-faq/#unable-to-find-acf-field-in-custom-field-list

If the acf fields are still not listed, can you please export and attach your importer settings to this ticket by going to Tools > Import WP > Settings / Tools > Import / Export and select and export your importer as a JSON file.

And also attach an export of your ACF field groups that are not showing.

Hi James,

Thank you for your prompt response and guidance.

1. I followed your suggestion by adding the snippet of code to my theme's `functions.php`, as detailed in the link you provided. Unfortunately, this has not resolved the issue, and the ACF fields are still not appearing.

2. As requested, I have attached the exported JSON file of my settings to this ticket. Please find it enclosed.

3. I have made some modifications to the ACF field attributes, such as changing a text field to a checkbox. Could this have resulted in the issue I am experiencing?

4. Interestingly, the fields do appear when I select other post types. So, if I recreate a new post type or field group, that's will solve the problem?

I appreciate your support and look forward to hearing from you soon.

Best regards,

Lacoste

Hi,

Can you also attach your acf field group of the broken acf fields?

ACF -> Tools -> Export field group

attached file is the fields group and post type which made by ACF.
If you need site backend to login and check, please let me know.

Thank you.

Hi, James

I hope you're doing well.

I wanted to update you on the situation with the Import WP plugin.
Interestingly, after manually adding the first record, the plugin started to import properly, and the functionality has returned to normal.

I'm not entirely sure why this approach solved the issue, but I'm pleased to report that everything is now working as expected.

Should any further issues arise, I'll be sure to reach out.
In the meantime, thank you once again for your help.

Best regards,

J
