import file from server

Hi all,

Instead of using the ftp import and I upload the csv file to my server What path must I type in, in the local box? I tried /Products.csv when it is in the root folder but it never found it.

Hi Eddie,

If you put in /Products.csv , this suggests that it is the root of the server e.g. where /Home, /Var and other folders are? or are you meaning the webroot?

If you go to tools > Site Health, there should be some information on where the webroot is located on the server.

Yes that is where I intended it to be, thinking it would be simple.

The main reason that the importer could not find the file in this situation i am guessing is: Does the webserver user have access/permissions to read files in the root directory?
